Located in Atherton, The Snug is a small independent coffee house serving a large range of beverages and snacks.
The Snug opened December 2014 and was located on the main car park in Atherton off Mealhouse Lane. We have relocated to Atherton's main street, just set back off Market Street down a cobbled path, giving us an ideal location away from the main street, with easy access to the car park and all local bus routes. Since opening our main focus is on the perfect brew, with locally sourced coffee and loose leaf tea we have created the best brew in town. We have all the classic coffee combinations along with many varieties of loose leaf teas and hot chocolates to choose from.
The Snug has been described as "A hidden gem" and we are just that! We are an open room with friendly and welcoming staff. The Snug has been designed to be an open social area, that is perfect for chatting to other customers, or holding private meetings, sitting comfortably and watching the world go by, or simply getting your caffeine fix to take out on the way to work.
The Snug is now fully licenced to sell alcohol.

Helping local people and businesses in any way we can
All our cakes are baked by a local lady who has set up her own business baking, we always have a good selection of fresh homemade cakes on sale including a gluten free option.
Gregs Busy Bee is a local beekeeper who provides our honey which we add to teas and coffee if required, it's also available to buy at £4.50 a pot. The Lancashire honey is produced in the wildflower meadows between Atherton and Walkden. It is not processed in any way so retains all its natural goodness, and is an excellent remedy for pollen allergies.
Mike's homemade jam is what we use on our freshly baked scones and spread on to our chunky toast. We have a range for sale in the shop including strawberry, blueberry, cherry, rhubarb, grapefruit & lime at only £2.80 a jar it's so delicious and helps support local trade.
We also have selection of handmade jewellery made by one of our regular customers for sale, includes earrings, necklaces, bracelets, seasonal offers. Perfect for gifts or a treat for yourself, and you'd be surprised at the value too.
Local charity Atherton Foodbank has a collection point based in the shop for any items such as tins and packet food donations. Please see the website for up to date lists of items needed. athertonleigh.foodbank.org.uk
